• Distance from Pamporovo:About 50 km (1 hour by car) on a picturesque mountain road through Smolyan, Shiroka Laka and Devin.
• Best time to visit:Late spring, summer and early fall when the gorge is green and cool. In winter, the views are impressive, but there is a risk of icing.
• How to get there:From Grand Hotel Murgavets head south towards Smolyan, then through Shiroka Laka on the way to Devin. Follow the tables for Trigrad and the gorge. The asphalt road is well maintained.
• What to wear:Comfortable shoes for a short walk, a jacket even in summer (caves and gorge are often cool), water and a small snack. For photo lovers — a good quality camera or smartphone is a must.
• Tip:Take time for a walk around the village of Trigrad — here the hospitality of the people of Rhodope is felt everywhere, and homemade food is a real experience.
